Virgina Brick Home Conversion to a Log Cabin

This home project can answer the commonly asked question; can e-log be applied over an existing brick home? The answer is obviously, YES! This home owner had a vision to make a standard brick home a warm and cozy log cabin. By adding some furring strips it was an easy log home conversion. The beauty of using the 12" e-log gives the home a full stack log look not a log sided look. The 3 1/2" profile and the full 10" stackheight matches the exact dimensions of a 12" real log. The e-log also adds additional insulation providing a warmer, quieter home with a payback on lower heating and air conditioning bills.

Standard 3"x5" window and door trim and round 10" vertical corners supplied by Pine River were used on this creative home makeover. This Virginia home owner was very happy with the results. Now he comes home after a long day and escapes into his log cabin...
