Pine River Inc, is a family owned business located in Charlevoix, Michigan which is on the eastern coastline of Lake Michigan (western Michigan) in the Northern portion of the Lower Peninsula. If one were to visualize the State of Michigan as a hand Charlevoix, the home of e-log log siding, would be just above the little finger. It is a beautiful area and a great location for those that want to enjoy the natural beauty and elegance of log home living. However, the e-log log siding market is National and since the e-log is light weight we can easily and affordably ship anywhere.
Mission:
Pine River Purpose is: The purpose of Pine River Inc, is to manufacture a natural and authentic large diameter energy efficient log siding system appropriately called the "e-log". Product quality, personal integrity, customer satisfaction and employee fulfillment are primary management goals; as these are met then we will be pleasing to both God and man. Facility:
Pine River of MI has a 75,000 Sq Ft facility that is prime manufacturing space. We are currently occupying only ~40,000 in our phase 1 plan so we have a lot of expansion possibilities as the market opportunity grows. We are able to maintain our entire operation under one roof so that we are not exposing our product to the wintry and rainy days while they are in the untreated wood condition. We have the ability to back in semi-trucks completely into our Shipping and Receiving room again assuring that our raw materials and finished goods are treated with utmost care during the entire manufacturing and shipping process.
State of the Art Automation:
Pine River has invested hundreds of man hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars to design, build and install a truly "State of the Art" and one of a kind assembly and staining processes. We are dedicated to providing our industry the highest quality product with the absolute tightest tolerances possible and we realized that the only way to do this was to automate the assembly process. This requires a significant commitment to our product and belief in quality and product consistency as a primary focus. Even though logs are never perfect and nature doesn't often repeat itself, we strive to make the e-log as consistent as possible to ease the installation process and long term maintenance. The extra step added in the process to provide a "peeled" look offers a realism of hand hewn logs with each log being unique.
The manufacturing process developed by Pine River and our key partner companies is truly one of kind in the world. With throughputs designed at ~500 e-logs per day output, Pine River is positioned to supply anyone's need for a high quality large diameter log siding.
Environmentally Friendly Stain System:
The e-log is factory pre-stained with a multi coat base primer system. This system is a UV (Ultra Violet) cure system that offers many advantages both to Pine River and our customers. This coating provides the following benefits: - 100% solid content - No VOC's emitted in the process
- Ability to add algaecides, fungicides, Lignostab and UV inhibitors giving our customers a solid primary foundation ready for the final top coats and years of durability
- Ability to apply final top coat in the field using traditional air dry stains
- Strong weathering abilities
- Excellent wood preservation capabilities
