Georgia Log Home - Contemporary Log Siding Remodel Project

This home is located on the top of a mountain ridge in Northern Georgia.  An absolutely beautiful location.  The homeowners were truly visionary as they were able to see the potential in an already very nice home.  What they were able to accomplish was an amazing transformation of a nice traditional home into a contemporary log home utilizing the latest in log siding technology namely the e-log.  What you are not able to see is the interior of the home which is done in contemporary furnishings and beautiful artwork, (which the homeowner painted himself).  The e-log siding, the stunning stonework and the hand hewn truss work all lend to a rustic yet contemporary log home look.

Another aspect of this home remodeling project that is not evidenced in this photos is the very difficult terrain that this home is situated on.  The light weight and easy to install e-log system offered the homeowner's construction crew the ability to install the e-log siding without having to use any heavy equipment on site.  The most difficult part of the project was transporting the pallets of e-log siding up the twisting mountain road, once on site, the installation was easily accomplished using typical scaffolding and common construction tools and techniques. 

Comments from the homeowner after the home remodeling was completed are: "I think that e-log is the best product for simulated log homes on the market; as a matter of fact I believe it is a lot better then whole log building..." and "e-log is an easy way to give curb appeal to a home. Ours was a Lindal Cedar home design and was beautiful inside but needed the face lift and you gave it to me."
